About the work

The world is always a little less finished than we imagine. There's always a corner unobserved, a surface not quite wiped down, an expectation that was never truly met. We design for the human, for the expected trajectory, for the footfall and the murmur. But the things that happen in the silent hours, when the last human has left, these are the truths we try to erase with brighter lights or more polished stone. Something settles there that shouldn’t; a life asserts itself in the places it was never meant to be. And the objects we leave behind, the tools and the incidental debris, become less ours, less purposeful, absorbing the strange, quiet logic of a space that has forgotten its function.
