About the work

There are days when the world is simply too much. Not in any dramatic way, not a crisis, just a slow, accumulating weight of things that need doing, things that have already happened, things that will happen, all of it pressing down, a fine silt across the mind. The sheer insistence of the light, its warm, pervasive glow, takes over, and for a moment, that’s all there is. It’s not an escape, not a forgetting, but a kind of gentle dissolution, an agreement between the self and the vast, indifferent beauty of the world.
