About the work

There are mornings when the world is simply happening around you, indifferent to the fact that you have just ruined the sheets. The sky unfolds with such effortless scale, such a casual blossoming of light, that whatever small chaos you’ve just created feels profoundly insignificant. Even the deliberate, impossibly slow climb of something man-made, something so carefully inflated and piloted, can’t quite catch the eye away from the horizon. It’s too vast, too unconcerned. The only thing to do is watch it grow, this new day, and wonder if the stains will come out.
