About the work

The single pink rubber glove, discarded on the floor amongst the scattered kibble, carries a faint memory of an almost-completed task. It suggests a moment of sudden interruption, a hand pulled away from tidiness by some urgent, unpictured call. The Purina kibble, so deliberately ordinary in its brand, becomes a counterpoint to the sterility of the room – a tiny, domestic rebellion against the antiseptic white. There is a sense here of something left mid-sentence, a thought broken off just as it was forming.
