About the work
The things we make to cover ourselves often reveal more than they hide. There’s a particular vulnerability in the crafted object, an insistence on presence. It isn't just the fact of being seen, but the seeing-of-having-been-made. The seams, the deliberate choices of material, the way light catches a surface that wasn’t always intended to be a surface. This is what brings us into rooms, into spaces, into the specific warmth of fluorescent bulbs on something that pretends to be a plant. There are other things happening outside, other kinds of light, other noises, but here, the felt is enough.
