You left the gate open. You left a lot of gates open, actually. You thought this room was safe, that these surfaces would keep. Now something has come in, something that tracks mud and sees no difference between a chrome sculpture and a tree stump. It’s sniffing your polished things, and it doesn't care if you ever get it out.
