About the work
The grizzly bear plush toy was a gift, bought impulsively at a roadside stop. It was too large for the car, too large for the apartment, too large for the space it now occupies on the corduroy armchair. It once had bright, fierce eyes. Now they are just two dull plastic disks, reflecting the muted light from the television screen. It has watched countless telenovelas, absorbed countless arguments, and silently witnessed the slow accumulation of dust on the skirting boards. It is the only thing in the room that has never changed its position.
