About the work

The leaf is a curious thing, clinging to the sneaker. It suggests a brief, prior journey, a stumble through something green and living before this stark, blue expanse. This particular leaf, now detached, seems to have absorbed the very last of summer’s green before arriving here, at the threshold of the concrete and chlorine. It’s an accidental souvenir of a world not quite forgotten, carried into a space designed for a different kind of immersion. What happens when the sweep of the broom reaches that small, defiant patch of green?
