About the work
The duck has been with them for years. It started as a joke, a silly souvenir from a long-forgotten trip upstate, but then it just stayed. It’s been to countless doctor’s appointments, waited out innumerable rain showers on park benches, and once, during a particularly bad winter, it even held down a hospital bed sheet. The two others pretend to roll their eyes when it appears, but they would miss it if it weren’t there, a splash of absurd yellow against the daily grey. What the duck has seen, however, it will never tell.
