About the work

Some decisions are made out of a sudden, startling hunger. Others are made with the quiet, sustained focus of someone tending to a very small, very important fire. You feel the heat, but you don't necessarily see the flame. The way certain objects, when placed just so, become almost ceremonial, even if they are only plastic. Even if the ceremony is just for one person, or four identical ones. The sky, sometimes, has its own intentions, and will occasionally deposit a forgotten thought directly into the eaves of a roof, as if to say: remember this later, when the light is different. There is a way of holding something that makes it both a tool and a prayer.
